Week 3-4: Relationship mapping. The system understands how business entities connect: how leads become opportunities, how opportunities relate to revenue.
Month 2-3: Operational patterns. The system recognizes how your business operates: sales cycle lengths, seasonal patterns, process sequences.
Ongoing: Refinement. As business logic evolves, the system continues learning.
This learning period frustrates organizations expecting immediate results. The tradeoff is between generic AI that works everywhere poorly versus context-aware AI that requires setup but works well in your environment.

Evolution requires maintenance. When business logic changes, the context model needs updating.

Verification overhead remains. Context-aware systems should expose their understanding for review.
Business context breaks AI because models trained on general data lack company-specific understanding of terminology, relationships, and operational logic.
Organizations have two choices: accept generic AI with limited applicability, or invest in context building for systems that understand how your specific business operates.
